Well, you would expect it and that’s what we found when we paid a visit to Ford’s Garage Restaurant Brandon Florida. If you weren’t sure that this was a newer concept, you just might feel that it had been around forever. They have their working model down to perfection and running a bit smoother than a classic Model T.

The parking lot and exterior of the restaurant are very pleasing to the eye. Big, colorful and full of automotive art, old gas pumps, and cars. When you step inside there is a lot of antique brickwork, distressed wood mixed with a healthy quantity of stainless steel diamond plating and lots of old rubber tires, antique license plates hovering over what feels like a distressed concrete garage floor. Perfect.

The bathrooms are not left out. The sinks are made out of tires and rims with custom fitted water faucets that are made from gas pump handles. The men’s urinals… custom made from beer kegs, very creative and even more fun to try!

Ford’s Garage menu is pretty diverse and probably could satisfy even the most contrasting family member’s taste buds. Diners can choose from apps like Guinness French Onion Soup, Homemade Black Angus Chili, Ford’s Colossal Wings, Firestone Shrimp, and Deep Fried Pickle Chips.

On the entree menu, Ford’s Garage Restaurant in Brandon offers items like Mama Ford’s Homemade Meatloaf, Craft Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Grilled Sirloin Steak, Southern Fried Chicken, Sushi Grade Ahi Tuna, and Pulled Pork Sandwich.

On the burger front, Ford’s Garage Restaurant in Brandon has a mouth-watering selection of custom burgers that are as unique as Ford’ Garage itself. I counted 19 burgers in all but a few that stood out were: The “Kobe Beef” Distinguished Gentleman, The “Tuna Me Up”, and of course the Colossal “Henry Ford Hubcap” which is a 10 lb burger that if you can finish all by yourself in less than two hours is on the house! Good luck on that one, because if you have to pay for it, it’s a $125 bucks.

Ford’s Garage Restaurant in Brandon really offers far too much and so much more than we have room to mention in this article. It all looks very inviting and I think we would have to visit at least ten times to try it all, no problem, we can work that in to our calendar.

All I can say is that if you’re looking to immerse yourself into an experience of automotive “history back”, Ford’s Garage Restaurant will not disappoint. The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly, and the food is just as good.
