Summer time heat walk exploring the Restaurants on St. George Street in St. Augustine
So it’s a really hot day in early July and I mean the mercury was nearing a bell-ringing 100 degrees. We’re on what was probably our 50th trip to the oldest city in America, St. Augustine, Florida. Now there are signs everywhere to remind you of that. One of my favorites was the “let’s party like its 1565” posted in front of one of the shops on St. George Street.
The Bull & Crown on St. George Street in St. Augustine offers diners a view of the passing crowd, sidewalk performers, and the beauty of a famed street in America’s oldest city. Cold drafts and wine served alongside a wide variety of British pub favorites like tomato bacon and cheese sandwiches with pesto aioli or what I considered a perfectly pulled off chicken pot pie, probably one of the tastiest I have ever tried.
