On a cool Florida Winter Solstice evening, we decided to take a short drive to Walt Disney World’s Epcot Theme Park and enjoy authentic French cuisine. As expected, we were not disappointed.
World Showcase at EPCOT features eleven charming pavilions where Guests can experience diverse cultures, histories, and cuisines from around the world. The France Pavilion in particular is home to several indulgent and delicious Disney dining options that bring traditional French cuisine to life for Guests.
Charming table service at Chefs de France
This charming table service restaurant is located near the front of the France Pavilion, offering lunch and dinner daily and evoking the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional Parisian brasserie. This is a must-try restaurant in EPCOT’s World Showcase thanks to its beautiful views, light and airy interior, and French nouvelle cuisine menu.
Chefs de France’s features brasserie-themed décor
With its vaulted ceilings and intricate molding, Chefs de France’s French brasserie-themed décor includes traditional booth seating, mirrored walls, and beautiful light fixtures with hanging glass orbs. Upon entering, guests are immediately immersed in a French brasserie. A soothing color palette is complemented by pops of crimson and murals that depict impressionist-style artwork made famous in France.
Chefs de France is one of the best restaurants at Epcot
There is no doubt that Chefs de France is one of the best restaurants at Epcot. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. Authentic French accents at every turn add so much to the authentic feel that few French restaurants in America can ever achieve.
In terms of quality, it can compete with the best in France. You can learn some French from the servers as they assist you with menu selection.
During our visit to the restaurant in December, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, even though we ordered different things. In fact, we were sharing each other’s plates so everyone could try everything. I enjoyed the French onion soup very much!
The menu at Chefs de France features nouvelle-style cuisine
Our server Lucie was extremely knowledgeable about the menu offerings and regularly checked on us. Lucie was from Nice, France. When we asked her about Nice, which is over 900 miles from Paris, she spoke of the differences between the two cities. According to her, she is enjoying her time here and really enjoyed a recent trip to Tampa and St. Petersburg, but it was definitely different from what she is used to.
We consider this Disney World dining spot to be one of our favorites. Having been there many times, we have never been disappointed. I finished the meal with profiteroles and cappuccinos! Generally, we had an excellent experience and look forward to returning soon for lunch and dinner.
