The Florida Florida Strawberry Festival is an annual event that takes place in Plant City, Florida.
The Florida Florida Strawberry Festival was started in 1930 by the local Lions Club, a local philanthropy club dedicated to bettering the community, after several attempts by locals in the previous 20 years to promote the local strawberry crop. Beginning in 1929, the Lions Club worked to plan the festival honoring King Strawberry, the champion of the area’s agricultural products.
The Florida Florida Strawberry Festival lasts 11 days and generates attendance of about half a million visitors from all over Florida and other countries around the world.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is recognized as one of the best festivals in the US and ranks among the Top 40 Fairs in North America. The Festival admission is $10 for adults (aged 13+), $5 for children (aged 6–12), and free for kids under 5.
The Florida Strawberry Festival is a venue for flea market-style craft and item sales, various free entertainment acts/events, a very large midway, plus twice-daily “big name” musical concert performances.
K9s in Flight performed this year at the 2022 Florida Strawberry Festival much to the delight of young and old fans alike. The kids adore seeing their K9 friends make huge aerial leaps catching frisbees, dancing, and flying off the dock. One of the dogs performing this year was a Belgian Malinois named “Beck” from Plant City. Her owner is a well-known up-and-comer in the dog world and her name is Cassie Kennedy. Cassie owns Ohana Dog Training in Plant City offering private lessons and board and train for all kinds of dogs and their loving families.

These amazing “homeless to high flying” pups have toured with Animal Planet, The NFL Experience, and the first, and original, Purina Incredible Dog Team. K9s in Flight has performed in over 200 cities across America, people all over the country have enjoyed their cutting edge, high-flying acrobatics.
Most importantly all of K9s in Flights’ dogs are part of the family, they perform, travel, eat and sleep together! Also, all of John’s K9s in Flights dogs are rescued or adopted and the Show emphasizes and educates the desperate need for pet adoption.
